I passed by Walmart and Walgreens today to pick up a few things! I was running out of my Nexxus Heat Protection Spray and decided to pick up the new one from Tresemme because it was cheap ($4.48 at Walmart). I also picked up the FX Sea Salt Spray because I cut my hair recently and I want some waves/texture. 

Hard Candy Glow All The Way Face & Body Luminizer in Glamazon Bronze

The makeup artist who did my makeup at the Make Up For Ever Makeup Bag Remix event used MUFE's Uplight on my cheeks instead of blush and I loved the look! I picked this up to try to recreate it. This "luminizer" goes for $8.00 and contains 76.6 g/2.7 oz. It's fairly large if you are only using this for your face. I'm excited to try this out on my body for the summer when I'm tanner!

Wet n Wild Coloricon Bronzer SPF15 in 739 Ticket to Brazil

I wanted to try Wet n Wild's Fergie Shimmer Palette but I saw this and it was cheaper! ($4.29 vs. $6.29). This bronzer is humungo. I'm afraid of dropping it or bringing it with me when I travel!

I saw the permanent display of Flower Beauty cosmetics and was tempted to pick up a few items, but stopped myself haha. I wanted to try the BB cream before, but didn't get it because it's kind of small and expensive for the size.

Ran out and purchased this after seeing the color Karmen of PeachyPink0614 was wearing in her swatch video of the L'oreal Shine Caresse Wet Shine Stains. 

I wasn't interested in them when they first came out, but after seeing that color I had to try it out! I usually don't wear lip glosses (or lipsticks for that matter) so this is different for me. It does oxidize to a darker color which I like. My biggest problem with this is that it's hard to apply it evenly. I tried applying one coat, even it out, and then applying more coats but it still came out uneven. 

I kinda went swatch crazy because I wanted to compare it to the other colors I have so here they are:

This is after I rubbed it with a makeup remover wipe! It does leave a stain, but because it applies unevenly, the stain is uneven. 

Wet n Wild Coverall Cream Foundation

Woo! The Wet n Wild Coverall Cream Foundations have arrived! I picked one up at my local Walgreens. Some of them had $1.00 off coupons.

 

Wet n Wild Coverall Cream Foundation in 820 Medium/Tan

I picked up the second to darkest shade 820 Medium/Tan. I didn't go for the darkest one because it had beige/pink undertones. Overall, the color range is really light. I tried this on one side of my face and it's slightly lighter than my skin tone (T_T). Still, I can't wait to try this out in the next few days! Even though it's light, the finish is matte/slighty satin which is great because all of my other foundations/BB creams aren't!

Current makeup obsession right now: dark lips. I'm in love with anything plum and burgundy. I don't know why I didn't try lip stains sooner. I don't wear lipstick that much (even though I have a ton! T_T) because I don't like how it messes up so easily when eating foods and drinking beverages. Lip stains are perfect! I can nom to my heart's delight without worrying about messing up the color on my lips. The Wet n Wild one is the exception though. Such a lovely color, but I'll probably only wear it out going clubbing or something.

The con of the Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain Balms are that they apply unevenly and stain dead/flaking skin more as you can see in the picture.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Born With It and wet n wild palette in Vanity

went to Walgreens because they're having a 40% off Maybelline sale this week. i've been wanting Born With It, but now it's just meh. sucks that Walgreens doesn't have a beauty return policy like CVS and Riteaid do.


the color is nice, but it is oh so frosty/shimmery/metallic looking. i swatched it on my hand and when i wiped it away, i was left with glitter. my sister said it looked like the makeup we used as kids -__-


i'm loving this purchase even though! i wasn't as excited when i bought it (it was on clearance for $2.59 so i thought oh well). the colors are great: 3 matte and 3 shimmer.

my friend Jimilyn gave me a code to use on Target.com that took off $0.50 and gave free shipping. the palette was on clearance for $5 so in total i spent $4.92. great deal! let's just hope they don't screw us over or something like that!

getting this out of the way...

i was eyeing the new lipsticks from wet n wild awhile back and finally bought them because they were bogo half off and because someone on youtube said 900 was a dupe for mac's peachstock. i'm glad these were cheap ($2.99) because they suck! they are not creamy at all, compared to the raving other people have said about them. they're hard to apply, are hard to blend, and just bad in general. my nyx lipsticks are heaven compared to these! and they were cheaper! rawr! i just wish the 900BP worked because the color is a pretty peachy nude.

can't sleep

watched "Paranormal Activity" and not wanting to go to sleep right now... ugh i hate scary movies! even though i covered my eyes during the scary parts and didn't even look at the screen during the end, i'm still scared. ugh!
and also found out, moving/shaking cameras make me nauseous! whenever i would watch makeup collections on youtube i would feel queasy and watching this movie made me feel sick! ugh!
anyway, what's been going on lately:had to go to 7-11 for domo!
sushi overkill. this finally killed it. it's like, "are you serious?! two layers?!"uhh yeah... who uses a controller with one hand?...while holding a 7-UP in the other???got the Wet N Wild Creme Eyeliner. it was on sale for $2 each so i got 2. it's normally $3.99 each so woo! it got good reviews and i'm too cheap for a higher end brand.
also got the duo fiber brush from studio tools at target. i love it. perfect for liquid foundation. i wish i got two though because it applies cream blush perfectly!
looking forward to a san francisco shopping trip next week. i'll be on the look out for high waisted shorts and lace up oxfords. they're surprisingly hard to find. not that much selection. :/
